Beautiful Pentecost combined worship Sunday
Hey Enneagram 9 friends, the wait is over. Last month we shared how Sleeping At Last has produced a song for each Enneagram number, but the song for 9s was not released yet. Well, Sleeping At Last released it last night, and it is beautiful. If you are a 9 or love a 9, I hope this speaks to you.
Join us for Combined Worship at 9:15 am this Sunday (June 9) in the Fellowship Hall. We invite you to wear red, orange or yellow in honor of Pentecost! (There will be no 11:15 am worship.)

On Sunday in worship, I mentioned the poem As Kingfishers Catch Fire because I love the line, "Christ plays in 10,000 places, Lovely In limbs and lovely in eyes not his..." Below is the entire poem. And just for fun this is a picture of a Belted Kingfisher. I didn't take this photo but a little know fact about me is that I love birds. Help us out. We are looking for a new name for our annual baked goods auction, which we are changing to be more inclusive. In the past, we had encouraged men to bring a dessert item to be auctioned off at the church picnic (coming up on June 9 this year). We called it the "Pepto-Bismol Challenge." Truthfully the dishes have been anything but abysmal; they have been amazing. So, we are retiring the name and making the event open to all genders. BUT we need a new name! Help us out. Give your suggestions below. All proceeds from the bake sale go to benefit missions. (Last year, we helped fund the Civil Rights Pilgrimage)
